Longview Public Library Centennial

The Longview Public Library is marking its 100th anniversary with a series of events throughout April 2026 celebrating its role in the community over the past century.

Key events include a youth-focused program on April 18 featuring children’s illustrator Corinna Luyken, with a presentation, book activities and a quilt unveiling.

A centennial recital by the library’s ukulele club is scheduled for April 24, highlighting music from the past 100 years.

The main anniversary celebration on April 25 will include remarks, community gifts, historical displays, refreshments and an author talk by Bethany Bennett.

Additional events include an April 27 book launch by author Fred Baxter focused on local history, along with anniversary T-shirt sales supporting library programs.
